5 Days for the Homeless is a national campaign run by the Canadian Association of Business Students and its member schools annually in March. This week-long campaign event raises awareness and donations for members of society that are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The goal is to educate and sensitize individuals to a major issue in this country. Each participating University chooses its own local shelter or organization to donate the funds raised to help the community.
The University of Lethbridge’s campaign donates all funds raised to Wood's Homes, a local organization that helps struggling homeless youth, and families.
This year, 5 Days for the Homeless will be held predominantly online versus in person due to COVID-19. There will be multiple events incorporated into the 5 Days, including a bottle drive, Truth or Myth trivia on social media, a few video interviews with past sleepers and Wood’s Homes and a Charity Steak Dinner.
