“The Campus Collective Centre (CCC) is a student led safe space located on campus that works to offer resources and support. We are passionate about advocating and working to create change while also supporting our campus community as well as the community of Lethbridge as a whole. We work to foster an environment wherein individuals may seek empowerment, guidance, and resources while feeling recognized and validated. We recognize the ways in which racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, ableism, ageism, and religious discrimination operate not only in society but on our campus as well. At the CCC we are dedicated to changing this narrative by actively advocating against these structures of power and oppression. Our space, therefore, is a space that does not tolerate any form ofdiscrimination.With our sexual health and menstrual resources, as well as our peer support program and our community engagement events each semester, we work to offer as many opportunities for a thriving student experience. The CCC is for the students and by the students, and we are constantly working to ensure necessary resources are available for all students.The CCC also believes in the culture of calling people in to educational conversations, rather than a call out culture. We strongly believe in the power of lived experiences as well as the nature of grassroots social movement and informed critical perspectives. As such the CCC is dedicated to ensuring we utilize our position as a student group on campus and our social platform to advocate for human rights and equality.”

“From a closet in UHall broadcasting updates and tunes in between classes, to now a fully-fledged CRTC certified radio station broadcasting as far as Claresholm, CKXU has been providing volunteer and learning opportunities to students for nearly 50 years. CKXU 88.3 FM broadcasts for more than 168 hours per week, year-round, with a volunteer core of over 100 members.NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! We provide in house training to students who are looking to amplify themselves by hosting a radio show. With a variety of shows from second language programming, discussing topics close to your heart, political discussions, or even just spinning your favourite songs for Southern Alberta to hear, we are looking for any and all types of shows to air!Moreover, we are also looking for students who would like to help curate the CKXU on-air sound. Looking for a brain break between classes? Why not come listen to one of the over 100 albums we have submitted to us weekly?! Music Library volunteers aid us with sorting through submissions to find those future billboard 100 hits. Are you a musician yourself? Student musicians of all genres are welcome to submit music to CKXU to be adjudicated for on-air quality.Looking for a more casual experience? Throughout the year we have a need for volunteers to help us hold events, including our yearly three-story Haunted House which is located in the old Lethbridge Firehall. “LPIRG is a student-funded, student-directed, not-for-profit organization providing resources for undergraduate students to engage with environmental and social justice issues. LPIRG embraces plurality and participation, and encourages students to critically evaluate the institutions and systems in which they take part. LPIRG assists students in translating their knowledge through research, education, and action to serve public interest. LPIRG provides funding, administrative assistance, meeting and storage space, and information resources to students who have projects that are in the public interest.

The Meliorist (ME-LEE-OR-IST) is the University of Lethbridge’s independent, student-run publication. In print since 1967, the publication showcases the creativity and academic accomplishments of ULeth students through their analyses of current events, arts and culture, and the policies and practices of both the University and its Students’ Union. The publication is guided by the philosophy of Meliorism, which holds that humans can make the world a better place through intentional action.The Meliorist’s office is located in SU166.
