The ULSU Health & Dental Plan helps eligible University of Lethbridge students access extended health and dental coverage while studying. The plan includes benefits such as prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision care, practitioner coverage, accident benefits and emergency travel coverage. If you are a part time student or have dependents you may add onto the benefits, just reach out to su.health@uleth.ca for an add on form.

Direct2UPrescriptions
The ULSU has joined with StudentVIP to offer you Direct2U Prescriptions through Safeway/Sobeys and Rexall Pharmacies. Through these pharmacies you can get increased prescription coverage, 85% for a generic and 70% for a brand name prescription medication. Through any other pharmacy the coverage is 50% for brand name or generic medication.
Important dates
Fall semester opt-out Deadline: September 25th, 2026
Winter semester opt-out deadline: January 22nd, 2027 - Winter semester opt-out is for newly enrolled students or students upgrading from part time to fulltime status only. Returning fulltime students are not eligible to opt out.
