Hi! I'm Shelley Qian and I am in my 1st year of a 2-year Management after degree at the U of L's Calgary Campus. I've been in Calgary for almost 3 years now and I love the city. The Calgary Campus is awesome and I'm so fortunate to live within walking distance!

As a new student at the U of L, I am always trying to find ways to get involved with my fellow classmates, the student body, campus events and our community at large. If you happen to see me around, say "Hi!" I look forward to chatting you up.

What does the Calgary Campus Rep do?

The Calgary Campus Representative plays a large role at the U of L's Satellite campus. As a representative, I am responsible for being the voice of hundreds of students in this community. It is of great importance to me that we begin to build a network of communication and involvement at this campus as this is one of the biggest challenges that our off-site location faces.

Let's see what we can do better this year to become more connected to the University of Lethbridge as well as our fellow students and classmates within our own community in Calgary.

My Goals

Team spirit! Cohesion! A sense of community. It's everything that I have mentioned and more--that is what I will be bringing to the Calgary Campus as your Representative. I want to build a student community full of involvement and support, with very little ambiguity for first-time U of L students.

My promise to you is:

• to follow-up with the unanimous vote for YWCA membership
• update the online test bank/note bank, specifically for classes at the Calgary Campus
• create more opportunities to network within our respective fields of study, so that we can all graduate with employment offers at hand
• establish more volunteers, clubs, and events so that we can begin to build our community and network; and
• most importantly, be the representative that you can rely on for questions, concerns, assistance, and support
